Self Defense Training
The Self Defense project, initiated by Lets Give Hope Foundation focuses on enhancing the safety and security of girls by providing self-defense training and empowerment programs. In response to the prevalent risks of violence and harassment, both in public spaces and within homes, this project seeks to equip women with essential skills to defend themselves and reclaim their sense of safety.
Objectives:
1. Women's Empowerment: Empower women with self-defense skills and confidence to protect themselves from potential threats.
2. Safety Awareness: Raise awareness about personal safety measures and educate women on identifying and responding to risky situations.
3.Community Support: Foster a supportive environment where women can openly discuss safety concerns and receive encouragement to stand up against harassment.
4. Change of Mindset: Challenge societal norms by promoting a culture of respect, consent, and equality through education and awareness.
Activities:
1.Self-Defense Workshops: Organize regular workshops taught by experienced instructors to teach women practical self-defense techniques.
2. Safety Seminars: Conduct seminars and talks addressing safety strategies, risk assessment, and tips for navigating public spaces.
3. Awareness Campaigns: Launch awareness campaigns in collaboration with local authorities and community leaders to highlight the importance of girls safety.
4. Support Groups: Establish safe spaces for women to share experiences, gain support, and build a network for collective empowerment.
