The Transformative Power of Self-Defense
The Jakson group along with Let's give hope foundation coordinated a much needed program about “self defense”. A self defense workshop was held as a part of our saksham program at various places in UP like Lucknow and Sitapur with the aim of empowering the girls of our nation, instilling a sense of bravery in them, and boosting their mental fortitude.
Due to the rise in female violence, girls in India encounter numerous difficulties in their daily lives. Reports have shown several forms of violence against women including domestic, sexual, and gender-based violence.Learning self defense is a key remedy for this. Empowering these girls to feel more confident in their bodies, communication, relationships and opinions will be advantageous to them and will hopefully reduce violence against them.
To make a difference in this society , The Jakson group organized a self-defense course in conjunction with the Let's Give Hope organization. Around 3000 girls participated in this training program and have reported a boost in their confidence.Professional instructors explained the intricacies of blocking, punching, and kicking methods while mentioning real-world scenarios. These techniques help in defense during the times of crisis and give a sense of safety. Many girls want to learn self defense but they are unable to do so. This was overcomed by this workshop. As a result, the female students were inspired and encouraged to fight against the brutality! It not only makes them aware of their surroundings it also helps them make decisions and understand personal boundaries. This training has impacted society as a whole - it helped change people’s thoughts ,mindset and make them more aware. It empowers individuals and helps in reducing victims. It challenges societal norms related to gender. Moreover it results in increased safety and bonding of a community.
Many prominent authorities attended this event. The event was successful with the help of Jakson group as their team has always been keen to work on women's empowerment as a part of their corporate social responsibility.
